KAB SpeedStrobe

$110.00

Those who avidly collect recordings made prior to 1930 are probably already aware that records manufactured during this period were recorded at speeds ranging from around 60 to over 100 rpm. In spite of that knowledge, the sad fact remains that many of these collectors have never heard their early records played back at the right speeds. Granted, the Chipmunks are fun for awhile, but bleating tenors and double-time dance bands can get tiresome.

That is why a variable speed turntable is so important. While the ability to set the proper speed of a record is critical, the traditional method of using ambient light with a conventional strobe disc is not exactly the most convenient way of attaining accurate results. Therefore, we are happy to include this spiffy device in our Audio Catalog.
