Over fifty years ago, the definitive discography of early American operatic and classical recordings was written by Julian Morton Moses. Entitled the Collector's Guide to American Recordings 1895-1925, this book contained listings for all the lateral cut 78 rpm records of the great operatic artists and classical instrumentalists released during the acoustic era by Victor, Columbia, Vocalion and Brunswick. With the assistance of Michael Sherman, Mr. Moses gathered together his notes and revisions and they are here presented in the final edition of his classic work.
